Yoga is the uniting of consciousness in the heart.

Integration and understanding is happening.

I laugh and cry a little.

It has happened before and I have forgotten.

Remembering is Life.

This, in my current understanding is our purpose- to forget less,

To circle back around to knowing.

In this form, we cannot know fully but we can actively seek to forget less.

Yoga offers us tools to circle back,

Tools to unite us in the consciousness of the heart.

I am light and I am shadow.

I am here while I am in other places.

I catch glimpses from time to time.

The more I seek, the less I know.

When I wasn’t seeking, I was shown eternity.

I am a vessel, a means to hold Life for a few breaths.

The river of life moves thru me and simultaneously,

I move thru the river of life.

There is no arriving, only flowing.

I have been here before.

My lessons have been my lessons before.

Some I remember and retain.

Others, I remember then forget.

My insecurities, my flaws, my vulnerabilities

have been revealed to me in this life.

They are known to me and still I try and run from them,

gloss over them, desperately pretend they are not shaping my experience.

They are the places I fold upon myself.

These folds alter the way the river of Life flows thru me.

These folds make me a unique vessel.

My patterns are similar yet different from yours.

I have heard it said that our wounds are different but our scars are the same.

In this way, each of us is a unique masterpiece,

a flawed holy and sacred mess.

Isn’t it remarkable then that the moments we unfold are our best chances

for growth, for real connection and for love?

Our best chances for uniting in the consciousness of the heart?

This life is a paradox through and through.

I believe we embody in order to unfold.

It is in the unfolding, that we remember.

In meditation I see and understand in Light.

Information seems to flow in this way

when we allow for stillness and space.

When I find a name, a system or create a box for Source,

the Divine seems to savor outgrowing it.

The river flows. The light shines.

It wants only to know and be known, to flow and to shine.

This human life and world is so confusing when looked at through only my human lens.

Suffering, pain, war, disease, loneliness, loss and chaos are all mixed together with the coo of a newborn baby, falling in love, climbing a mountain, creating art, the perfect sunrise, the joy with which my dog greets me- every time and chocolate.

The vessel, it turns out, has been given free will.

That makes for a messy, confusing, awful and wonderful world.

We get to choose. This is our greatest freedom.

How will we choose to use it?

Lately I have been shown a recurrent vision.

I am a golden drop of Light swan-diving into a vast and deep ocean of golden Light.

It is simple. It feels like love.

And it makes me smile and Remember

if even for a moment.

You were there.

Yoga is a way of life and should be accessible to all.
